Question:
To easily add multiple localized labels or messages at once, an export and import tool is available from Admin --> Settings --> Language & Region Settings. This tool allows admins to quickly compile a list of labels or messages for translation, which admins can then send to translators.
After an admin imports a Spanish translation for a task instruction, it displays in English and not Spanish. Why is this?
Answer:
There are a number of reasons causing this issue:
- One possible reason is that the workflow in progress corresponds to an older workflow version. An Admin can upload the translations after the workflow version is already changed, so these translations are not applicable.
- The workflow starts on version 11, but version 11 is no longer active.
- The translation is uploaded to workflow version 17, but the task instruction is still pulling translation from workflow version 11 which does not have the Spanish translation. So, it displays in English.
If re-assigning the task does not fix the issue, an admin needs to restart the workflow again on the latest workflow version.
