Question:
Can the Strong Match option be turned off in Network OpenData?
Answer:
The Strong Match setting determines whether an Add request goes through or bypasses strong matching when creating an unverified record. A Strong Match can be bypassed for almost immediate creation of an unverified record so the Veeva ID can be used by the calling application.
The Strong Match in OpenData cannot be turned off, as the Master Instance does not have the workflow settings. The Strong Match option is enabled by default. In OpenData, it always performs a match when an added Data Change Request (DCR) comes in.
Some customers have different requirements when creating an unverified record in Network through Veeva CRM. Some require Strong Match against existing data when a user submits an Add request to eliminate duplicate record creation.
