Question:
When the user is trying to invalidate a Grey Record in a Network instance by a Source Subscription, the entity gets invalidated. However, a new Orange record gets created at the same time. Why is this behavior occurring?
Answer:
This behavior is caused by the following incorrect Module Properties setting in the subscription's Advanced Mode configuration:
"feed.master": "true",
The User needs to set this property to false so the issue no longer persists. The record is invalidated and No Name records are not created.
A Master Source (Third Party or regular Veeva Master) should not be used to invalidate a customer record. The only time a Master Source invalidates a record is when it is about to take it over.
A Master Source with a customer record key, by default, creates a new Master Record and then invalidates the customer record. Use a different customer source system if all the records to be inactivated are customer ones. Or, remove the customer invalidates from the feed.
