Question:
A user is trying to access a Data Change Request (DCR) task, which is visible in the Inbox. Upon clicking on it, a lock icon and the following error displays: You do not have permission to access this item.
Why is this behavior occurring, although the user has all the necessary Inbox Task Groups and Data Visibility Profiles (DVPs) assigned?
Answer:
This behavior is working as designed. If Network displays the above error in the Inbox, it means it matches the user's Inbox filter but the user does not have a permission to view it. When inspecting the entity, the user has to verify whether it is flagged as Opted-Out and if the corresponding Data Visibility Profile allows viewing Opted-Out data.
To be able to view Opted-Out records and relevant tasks, a profile that has visibility to Opted-Out data (Opt-out visibility checkbox) needs to be created and the task displays properly.
