A customer merged two Account Records as part of a Cycle Plan. The two Cycle Plan Target records are not merged and still part of the Cycle Plan. The winning Account is the value for both Cycle Plan Target records.
Veeva does not add special logic for Cycle Plans on the Account merge. Salesforce.com (SFDC) behavior takes affect: Any related items from a duplicate Account is associated with a winning Account. During the merge, SFDC simply replaces duplicate Account references to the winning Account.
Two possible solutions:
- The duplicate entry for the looser Account must be removed manually. After the duplicate is removed the batch corrects the actual counts during the next run.
- Customers can use the Multichannel Cycle Plan (MCCP) as Account merge functionality is supported on that module.
