Question:
The user selects a Change Request or Add Request from the Inbox that is not assigned to any user and opens the DCR. A pop-up message at the top of the screen appears with a message: the user has to assign the task to themselves manually instead of the DCR getting auto-assigned.
Why are Data Change Requests (DCRs) not getting Auto-Assigned to the user when clicking on the Task in the Inbox?
Answer:
This behavior is working as designed. It is due to the user's User Type in Network. Change the User Type from Data Manager to Data Steward. Now, the tasks are automatically assigned to the user upon opening them from the Inbox.
To change the User Type, do the following:
- Log in to Network with a System Admin user.
- Navigate to the Users section.
- Select the relevant user.
- Change the User Type to Data Steward.
- Save the user profile.
