Question:
Why does a document not expire in Vault?
Answer:
There can be two possible causes:
Scheduled Job
The automatic job in Vault for expiring documents runs at 8am GMT. This would be 4am EST, 3am CST, 2am MST, and 1am PST.
If a document expiration date is changed at a time close to when the expiry job is run, the document may not have indexed before the job is run in Vault.
If the expiration is not triggered previously, Vault catches it the next day when the expiry job runs.
Expiry Notification
If there is no notification that occurs on the day that the document expires (zero day notification), the document does not expire.
If the admin configures document expiration (including a zero day notification), Vault processes any documents with an expiration date older than or equal to today for expiration.
