To set up Email Notifications for Call Follow-up Activities:
- Check the Send Notification Email checkbox on the Call Followup Template being used.
- Provide users with Read access Field Level Security (FLS) to the Send_Notification_Email_vod__c field on the Call_Followup_Template_vod__c object.
When using a Call Followup Template where the Send Notification Email checkbox is checked, Veeva CRM creates a Salesforce Task record which uses User Controlled Email Notifications for Tasks to send the email.
An email is sent when the user assigns the Follow-up Activity to another user. When assignees assign tasks to themselves, notification emails are not sent.
