How to remove Manufacturer information from the Sample Sign page on CRM iRep?

Answer:

Removing Field Level Security (FLS) on the Manufacturer_vod__c field on the Product Catalog object removes Manufacturer information from the Sample Sign page.  The user loses access to this field.
