What does the setting labeled "Enter Exit Chime" control under Engage Meeting Group settings?

How is the chime played for the host and the meeting participants if it is set to On (Enabled) or Off (Disabled)?

Answer:

The Play Enter/Exit Chime feature is mainly used as an audible cue to inform the host that participants are joining the meeting. A chime triggers when a participant leaves a meeting as well.

  1. Enabled: Enter/Exit Chime is used to inform all participants that new attendees are entering the meeting room. When the setting is enabled every participant hears a chime when a subsequent participant joins.
  2. Disabled: When the setting is disabled the host hears a chime when the first participant joins the meeting. However, as subsequent participants join, the chime is not triggered. When users leave the meeting, the chime is not triggered.
    Note: Every participant hears a chime on the device when joining a meeting.
