Question:
The Reject Duplicate Keys from Data Load feature is turned off in General Settings, allowing Custom Keys to be created through a Data Load. However, the Source Subscription job still returns Duplicate Custom Key errors in the Job Error Log. Why is this?
Answer:
This is working as designed. The Reject Duplicate Keys from Data Load setting allows duplicate Custom Keys to be loaded only in the same Source Subscription job. Loading duplicate Custom Keys with different jobs is not possible even if this feature is turned off. If a Custom Key needs to be loaded to another record, the original Custom Key must be inactivated first.
