Question:
Is it possible to reclassify a document if it is in an Active Workflow in PromoMats?
Answer:
This is a general rule and cannot be overwritten by a Vault Owner. In order for a job to be reclassified, it must be completed or cancelled. Job fields can be edited even if the job is in an active workflow. Security settings determine if this is possible.
Definitions:
- Reclassify - allows a user to modify the Type, Subtype, or Classification
- Edit Fields - user has permission to modify the content of document fields
To determine who can reclassify or edit fields, do the following using a user with Admin privileges:
Navigate to: Configuration --> Document Lifecycles -- [select the relevant document] --> States --> [select the relevant status] --> Security Settings.
