Question:
Why does the Vault users receive emails about License violations? What does it mean?
Answer:
This issue always occurs after the External Users provide eSignatures.
Although licensing contracts prohibit External Users from providing eSignatures, Vault does not prevent them from doing this. Whenever an External User provides an eSignature, Vault sends a license violation notice to the Vault Owners so that the correct user type can be verified. Veeva Support also has visibility into the number of license violations occurring for each vault.
And this issue also occurs after an Internal User provides an eSignature but does not have the e-signature permission. To provide the user the permission an Admin user (with System Administrator or Vault Owner privileges) needs to do the following:
- Navigate to Admin --> Users & Groups --> Permission Sets --> [Group] --> Application.
- Enable eSignature under the Workflow area.
