Question:
What is the difference between a Vault Clone and a Refresh?
Answer:
Cloning and refreshes on a Vault are very similar. A Vault clone creates a new Vault with the basic settings from an existing Vault. The clone does not include documents, users, Domain settings, or user-specific override settings.
A refresh of a Vault is used when there is a desire to revert back to the original settings of an existing Vault. The Vault retains its existing DNS information, name, and users. The refresh does not retain the documents, so this needs to be taken into consideration.
As a side note, a refresh is only performed on Sandbox Vaults. A refresh never is done to a Production Vault.
