Question:
The user has a New Professional Button on the Business Account Page Layout which is related to a custom S-Control named New_Professional_vod. Why does this button not trigger the Data Change Request (DCR) process, but creates an Account locally in Veeva CRM instead?
Answer:
Currently, this is working as designed. In CRM, this is not a supported scenario. The New Professional button is not necessary on the Health Care Organization (HCO) page layout. It is not supported for DCRs.
Network Account Search is supposed to be the only entry point for New Account DCR creation. If the user wants to use DCRs (in Network mode or Decoupled mode), the New Professional button needs to be removed from the page layout. Creating new S-controls such as in My Accounts, currently does not work with DCRs.
