The label of a Record Type on the Call object contains a special character. A user tries to record a Call choosing the record type in the Record Type field on the Call record. It switches back to a different record type.
In Chrome, special characters are preserved. In Internet Explorer, special characters are changed due to UTF-8 encoding. The changed values cannot be used in CRM.
The label of record types can contain special characters. If the user wants to use them in Internet Explorer, the label needs to be translated in Translation Workbench. This way the translated value does not have special characters. To do this, follow these steps:
- Click on Setup - Translation Workbench.
- Set the Language to the user's language.
- Setup Component: Record Type.
- Object: Call.
