Question:

How to setup a Veeva Message to be used for a specific profile?

Answer:

A profile-specific Veeva Setting can be updated to use its own Veeva Message. Veeva Settings which point to Veeva Messages use following the format: <Veeva Message Name>;;<Veeva Message Category>.  

1. Clone a Veeva Message, updating the Message Name so it is unique to the profile.
2. Update the Veeva Setting specific for the Profile to use the new Message Name. The Category should be the same.
3. Clear Veeva Cache.

Example:

Call disclaimers use the Veeva Message setting Disclaimer Call Acknowledgement:  DISCLAIMER_CALL_ACK;;CallReport

1. Clone the OOB Veeva Message as DISCLAIMER_CALL_ACK_SALESREP.
2. Update the Profile specific Veeva Setting to DISCLAIMER_CALL_ACK_SALESREP;;CallReport.
