Question:
How can the Edit button be removed from the Call page layout in CRM?
Answer:
If there is a business requirement to disable to Edit button on Call records for users, removing it from the page layout is not sufficient. It can only be removed if the user does not have Edit permission on the Call object.
- Navigate to the User Detail page of the user.
- Click on the Profile link in the Profile field.
- Navigate to the Call object in the Custom Object Permissions section.
- Be sure the user does not have Edit permission on the Call object.
