Question:
When running an Ad-Hoc Query on Change Requests in Veeva Network, the report does not return any results, despite the fact that it is set up to query past results. Therefore, it should always return some content. Why does the report not return any results?
Answer:
This problem is caused because the Inbox Task Groups for the specific user, who is running the Ad-Hoc Query and experiencing the issue, are not set up for the country of the records on which to query. In Veeva Network, Change Request queries use Task Groups instead of Data Visibility Profiles. Countries of the Inbox Task Groups of the report editor (for scheduled reports) or the report runner (for manual reports as well as queries) are used to determine the visibility of Change Requests.
The solution to this is to add the requested Task Group(s) to the User's profile and re-run the Ad-Hoc Query.
