Question:
Vault allows users to filter a search, a current Library view, a task view from the Home tab, or a current view in a custom document or object tab by various fields or additional search terms.
Under the Filter section, only Document Types are available to be selected. Is there a way to filter on Subtypes and Classifications?
Answer:
Since Subtype and Classification are hierarchical fields under Document Type, they can be selected as filters through the Advanced or View all link under the Document Type filter in the Filters section.
Users can follow the steps below to set the filter:
- Click the Library tab.
- On the left pane of the Library page, click the Document Types under the Filters section to expand the document types.
- Click View all link to see all the Document Types including Subtypes and Classification and choose the targeted one.
- Or click the Advanced link to enter into the Advanced Filter Mode. Type in the Document Type, Subtype, or Classification and select the targeted one.
