Question:
Error: Network Relationship Type: bad value for restricted picklist field:___ - During Network Account Search
Answer:
This error presents itself when a user performs a Network Account Search (NAS) and then attempts to add the account to a territory.
The error gets triggered when the user tries to add an Account and the associated ParentHCO (child account) records have values of codes that are unmapped in the reference mappings for the Network Field Mapping, relationship_type__v.
In order to resolve this error, follow these steps:
- Navigate to the Network Administration page.
- Click on the appropriate Network Mapping.
- Click on the appropriate Network Object Mapping.
- Click on the appropriate Network Field Mapping. This field mapping should involve Network's Data Model field, relationship_type__v.
- Be sure that there is not a reference mapping in the Network Reference Mapping related list with the code mentioned in the error.
Example: The error Network Relationship Type: bad value for restricted picklist field: 15A specifically mentions the value of 15A. This means that the value of 15A should not exist under the Network Reference Code column for any rows in this related list. - Click the New Network Reference Mapping button.
- Complete all required and appropriate information.
- Click Save.
- Clear Veeva Cache.
The user should now be able to add the account using Network Account Search.
