Question

Prior to the 21R1 Release, there is a hard limit of 65,500 hyperlinks per Excel document.  To get around this limitation there is an update in V21R1 that changes the way that Vault adds links into Excel reports. These links can no longer be removed by right-clicking and selecting Remove Hyperlinks.  To remove hyperlinks from Vault Excel reports generated after V21R1, what is the workaround?

Answer:

1. Open the file in Excel and select the cells with hyperlinks to be removed.
2. Select Edit -- > Copy to copy the content of the cells.
3. Paste content back into the document and select the Values Only pasting option.
   
   
   
   
4. The content is now pasted back in with the hyperlinks removed.
