Overview:
An Admin sets the course completion tracking to Yes from the EDC Tools tab for a Study. When the Admin runs the User Training Report in the System Tools tab, some users are displayed as Trained status but the training completion dates are blank for the courses.
The users already completed the courses in Absorb. Why does this issue occur?
Root Cause:
By default, Vault tracks training completion at the curriculum level. Each curriculum contains a number of individual courses. After the 21R3 release, an Admin can choose to have Vault track training completion at the course level and show those courses in the training report.
If the user is marked as Trained before the course level completion tracking is enabled for this Study, the completion dates for courses show as blank in the User Training Report. This is regardless of a completion date being set in Absorb. This is due to performance reasons as Vault does not perform enrollment reconciliations for users that are already marked as trained.
Solution:
This is working as designed.
