How to Change the Field Type of an Existing Field in Veeva Network?
Answer:
In order to change the field type of an existing field in Network, do the following:
- Run a Target Subscription to back up the field values, that are currently in Network, to a .csv file.
- Run a Source Subscription to clear the field values that are currently in Network.
- Open a ticket with Veeva (Network) Support to change the field’s data type to the desired type. Please describe in this ticket that there is no data in the specified field. Wait until Network Support confirms the field's data type has been changed.
- Run a Source Subscription using the .csv file generated in Step 1.
