Overview:
A document does not auto-file into a Vault binder.
Root Cause:
A user uploads a document to Vault. The user does not have Edit Document permission on the target binder.
Solution:
For a document to auto-file into a binder, the user uploading the new document needs Edit Document permission on the target binder in the current state. Without the Edit Document permission, the document is not be added to the binder.
To correct the issue, add the user to a role that has Edit Document permissions on the binder.
To see which roles have the Edit Document permission, navigate to: Admin --> Configuration --> Document Lifecycles --> [Lifecycle that the binder is in] --> States --> [State that the binder is in] --> Security Settings.
