Question:
Can a Vault welcome email be sent to a user who already exists in the same domain?
Answer:
Anytime an admin changes a user's security policy, Vault sends a new welcome email. The welcome email is not sent when Vault Admins add a user, who already exists in the same domain, to another Vault.
The email is only sent if the policy features are different than the current one:
- The user's security policy changes to an SSO security policy
- The user's security policy changes to a Basic password security policy from an SSO security policy
- The authentication type of the user's security policy changes
