Question:
What are Report Types in Vault PromoMats and Medical?
Answer:
A Report Type determines the reporting objects for the new report.
Please find below a short summary of the most used Types on the Create Report page:
- Document: Displays information about the Metadata (document's fields such as Product), Annotations and general information about the duration and times of workflows.
- Document Relationship: Displays information about the nature of the relationship between documents. It also counts with all the information available for Document Report Type.
- Workflow: Displays all the information related to workflows such as tasks and roles. It is important to verify the workflow's name from an example document before adding it to the filters since the System shows all workflows from all lifecycles and the list can repeat names and create confusion. It is suggested to always include the Workflow name filter to narrow down results. It also counts with all the information available for Document Report Type.
- User: Displays information about users in the system. It is important to note that when users are created the fields Locale, Location or Country might be left blank or with a Country that is different from where the user is based.
Within the Report Types, there are several subtypes:
-
Document:
Lists documents as unique records and allows the user to use the document fields.
-
Copy with Original:
Lists all documents that are created using the Make a Copy action, as well as each original document.
-
Original with Copy:

Note: For binders and binder sections containing nested sub-binders, the report lists all documents in sub-binders but does not list the sub-binders themselves as documents. -
