Are there browser limitations when accessing Vault on iPad?
Yes, currently the recommended mobile browser to access Vault on iPad is Mobile Safari® as most Vault functionality works using Mobile Safari® on iPad®. However, certain functionality is not supported:
|Annotation||Creating line annotations|
|Annotation||Creating link annotations|
|Annotation||Viewing linked document via mini-browser icon opens in a new tab|
|Annotation||Opening Meeting Mode|
|File Handling||Check In or Check Out actions without Office Online™|
|File Handling||Create Draft action|
|File Handling||Upload New Version action|
|File Handling||Creating a new document with one or more uploaded files; note that creating placeholders, binders, documents from a template, or unclassified documents is supported.|
|Library||Edit Filters action|
|Library||Edit columns action in Tabular View|
|Reports||Edit columns action when editing reports|
|Site Activation Progress View||(iOS v7 and v8 only) Viewing the page; fields do not appear correctly. Note that this is supported for users on iOS v9 and later|
Given that Mobile Safari® remains the most recommended browser for iPad®, these devices will continue to inherit limitations that come with using this browser.
