Question:
How to upload a document with clickable links in Vault PromoMats and Medical?
Answer:
Vault makes embedded web (https://veeva.com), “mailto” (help@veeva.com), and internal (tables of contents, cross references) links clickable in the viewable rendition if the source file is:
- PDF or PDF/A-1b
- HTML
- Microsoft 365 (DOC, DOCX, PPTX, etc.)
- MSG
- EML
When a user clicks on an embedded web link to an external URL (https://google.com), Vault opens it in a new browser tab.
When a user hovers over an embedded link in the document viewer, the URL is visible in the lower left corner of the browser or as a pop-up information card (in annotate mode only). In either mode, clicking the link opens the URL in a separate window or tab.
