What is the maximum length allowed for the customText dropdown/picklist token in CRM Approved Email?
Answer:
There is no character limit per picklist option or a limit to the number of picklist options available when using the customText token to create a picklist or drop-down.
However, Approved Email content may have display issues if a picklist option is especially long or the list of picklist options is long. Customers have experienced customText picklist options being cut off when more than 100 characters are used in a single picklist option.
Please also note that the Email_HTML_1_vod__c field on the Approved_Document_vod object, which holds the HTML of an email template, has a maximum total character limit of 131,072 characters.
All email templates and customText options should be thoroughly tested in a Sandbox environment before being used in Production.
