Why is a scanned document not returned in the search results with Optical Character Recognition (OCR) enabled in Vault?
Answer:
A scanned document must contain only an image and no editable text in order to for them to be processed by the OCR functionality for searches. Some pages or specific words within a page might not be extracted and indexed as well, due to low word confidence scores or if there is no text detected.
Review the Audit Trail of a document to see if the OCR process is completed for it.
