When attempting to create a Lookup Relationship Field in a Custom Object related to the Account or Address object, the following Salesforce Internal Server Error occurs:
The numbers displayed in the error ID may vary since they are the identifying IDs for that specific event.
The Internal Server Error occurs when an error occurs within Salesforce, but it can not be caught and managed. In order to know the root cause of the error, the error ID and more details should be raised to Salesforce support.
A workaround to resolve this error either:
- Delete and re-create the custom object.
- Clear browser cache and restart it.
If the workaround does not work, open a support ticket with Salesforce to investigate.
