What is Reassign Task in a Legacy Workflow in Vault PromoMats and Medical?
Answer:
The Reassign Task feature allows the Workflow Owner, Admin, Task Owner, or any user who has delegated access to these roles to reassign the task to another user. This action replaces the Task Owner for a single task. If the current task owner has future tasks, future notifications, or other current tasks, this action does not change the user assigned for those.
To reassign a task, please follow the instructions below:
From the Timeline View
- Navigate to the document

Click on the Timeline View tab
- Expand the active workflow
- Click the Actions Menu to the right of the reviewer that should be replaced and select Reassign

Type or search for the name of the user to who the task is being reassigned to

Click Continue
The new task owner will get a notification informing them of the task.
If the document is in a Legacy Workflow, you can also reassign the task from the Active Workflow View.
From the Active Workflow View
- Navigate to the document
- Click the Show Active Workflow button
- Click the Actions Menu to the right of the reviewer that should be replaced and select Reassign
- Type or search for the name of the user to who the task is being reassigned to
- Click Continue
The new task owner will get a notification informing them of the task.
