Why can a Call be created from the Call Objective related list after the end date in CRM Offline?
A Call Objective does not appear from the standard Call page after the end date occurs. However, a Call can be created from the Record an Interaction button of the Call Objective related list.
If the Call Objectives To_Date_vod__c is past today:
- The Call Objective cannnot be selected on the Call page from the Account Record an Interaction button for both Online and Offline
- The Call Objective is selected by default when using the Call Objective related list Record an Interaction button
The Record an Interaction button of the Call Objective related list can be used to create Calls containing Ended call objectives. The primary way to restrict these calls is by setting the CALL_BACKDATE_LIMIT Veeva Setting.
Alternately, custom Validation rule can be added to restrict the Call from being saved once the To_Date_vod__c is reached.
