Is it possible to have two or more Sample Lots with the same name, sample product, and owner, and have them all appear as choices when recording a Call in CRM?
Answer:
Having multiple active Sample Lots with the exact same name, sample product, and owner is an invalid configuration.
When attempting to create a Sample Lot with the same name as an existing Sample Lot through the UI, a duplicate value error appears and prevents the record from being saved.
A common cause of having Sample Lots with the same name, sample, and owner existing is data manipulation on the back end using Workbench or similar tools. All duplicate Sample Lots should be set to expired and inactive, or deleted if not sampled on.
