What is the difference between Upload New Version and Create Draft in Vault PromoMats?
There are two ways that new files can be uploaded to a document. This can be done by selecting Create Draft or Upload New Version from the All Actions menu.
Create Draft changes the state of the document from its current status to the state of Draft. The option allows the user to copy the current version file or upload a new file.
The Version permission is needed in order to Create Draft.
Upload New Version does not alter the state of the document. It gives the option to upload a new file.
The Edit Document permission is needed to Upload New Version.
Both actions will cause the minor version of the document to update. These actions do not update the document number.
