Question:
Why a newly added role does not appear in a Vault document's Sharing Settings?
Answer:
This issue lies within the custom role definition. To resolve this problem, do the following:
- Navigate to the affected Document Lifecycle.
- Click on Roles.
- Locate the affected role.
- Enable the Add Default User When Creating a document checkbox.
If users hover over this option, the tool-tip gives more detail on the setting, which is to default this role into the Sharing Settings upon document creation. Ensure all changes are saved.
