How can crash logs be generated when the Veeva CRM WinModern Application crashes?
Answer:
WinModern crash logs have an .etl format and can be found under the following directory of the machine that experiences the crash:
C:\Users\[device user]\AppData\Local\Packages\WinCRM_xxxx\LocalState\vod\Sandbox\[veeva username]\log-xxxxxx-xxxxxx.etl
If the device username is unknown, or the directory name cannot be copied and pasted, follow the directions below:
- In the Windows Search Box, enter %appdata%.

- Open the suggested folder from the Start menu, then press the back button to see the directory:
- Follow the folder directory through Local, Packages, etc.
Example: \AppData\Local\Packages\WinCRM_xxxx\LocalState\vod\Sandbox\[veeva username]\log-xxxxxx-xxxxxx.etl
