How to delete an existing subject in Vault CDMS?
Answer:
Users with permission to delete casebooks can take the below steps to delete a casebook:
Note that Vault does not allow deleting a Casebook containing data (including Event Dates), and some configurations may have this permission disabled.
- Navigate to the Casebook to be deleted.
- Verify that there is no data within the Casebook, including Event Dates.

From the casebook-level Actions menu, select Delete Subject.
- Click Continue.
- In the confirmation dialog, type “DELETE”.
- Click Delete.
Vault deletes the Subject record, the Casebook, and all associated object records. This action cannot be undone.
Note: User permissions vary per Sponsor and configuration.
