Question:
Why there are different timestamps in audit trail for same action record as below?
Answer:
Audit trail timestamp displays based on the Time zone of the User’s Profile, event description is based on Vault Time Zone.
Entry action (server process) sets TODAY into the effective date field. TODAY is evaluated in the context of the Vault Time Zone setting.
In this example, the Vault Time Zone is ET, and when the server process ran, TODAY equaled 7/22/2015.
The timestamp shown is in SGT, which is the user profile timezone. It is 12 hours ahead of ET. Based on the screenshot, the effective date is set at 8:50 am SGT on 7/23/2015, which is 8:50 pm ET on 7/22/2015.
