Overview:
When reassigning a workflow task, the user is unable to select a particular user to reassign the task to. But, the user can select a user for the same lifecycle role when starting a workflow.
Root Cause:
This is working as designed. The Default Rules and Override Rules pages (for allowed users) are only meant for selecting users. This means those users who appear in the reassign task drop-down menu in the workflow start dialogue.
Solution:
In order for a user to be able to re-assign a workflow task to others in the affected lifecycle role, that user needs to be listed in the Default Rule page for the affected lifecycle role.
There are a couple of ways to resolve this issue:
- Select a different role for the Add Task Assignee to Role section in the workflow task configuration.
- Add the affected user to the list of users in the Default Rule page of the affected lifecycle role.
