Question:
How Vault places brought-forward text and link annotations in PromoMats?
Answer:
- If matching text appears on the same page as the previous version, Vault automatically places note and link annotations with text selections in the new version. If matching text appears more than once on the page, Vault brings forward the annotation at the page level.
- If matching text does not appear on the same page as the previous version, Vault searches all other pages. If matching text occurs more than once across multiple pages, Vault places the annotation at the page level on the first page where the matching text appears.
- If no matching text exists, Vault places the annotation at the page level on the same page from the previous version. If the original page no longer exists, Vault places the annotation at the page level on the last possible page in the document.
