What controls the menu options in Veeva CRM for iPad?
Answer:
Each menu item on the CRM for iPad Home screen, with the exception of Options, can be configured as visible or hidden following the configuration guidelines in the table below:

Tab is visible when the user has read privileges to the Coaching_Report_vod object. |
My Samples |
Tab is visible if the ENABLE_IPAD_MYSAMPLES Veeva custom setting is set to TRUE. |
Documents |
User has at least one document visible offline. See Configuring Documents and Attachments. |
VInsights |
Tab is visible when users have Read Access to the Sales_Transaction_vod field and when the Enable_OFFLINE_VINSIGHTS Veeva setting is enabled. |
Go Online |
Value exists for the Online Tab URL custom setting. |
Media |
Tab is visible when the user has access to the CLM_Presentation_vod object and Read permission to CLM_Presentation_Slide_vod__c. |

Call Objectives | Tab is visible on iPad if the user has read permission to Call_Objective_vod, and the ENABLE_OFFLINE_CALL_OBJECTIVES Veeva Setting is enabled. The tab can be replaced with a homepage widget If the zvod_call_objectives_vod field is placed on the user's VMobile_Home_Page_Layout_vod page layout. On Windows 8, there is no Call Objectives tab. The home page widget for Windows 8 is configured using the same method as iPad. |
Survey Targets | Tab is visible on iPad if the user has read permission to Survey_Target_vod. There is no home page widget for iPad. On Windows 8, there is no Survey Targets tab. The home page widget for Survey Targets displays if the zvod_surves_vod field is placed on the user's VMobile_Home_Page_Layout_vod page layout. |
