Accounts Locking Address Line 1 |
You can easily keep users from editing an address's "Address Line 1" field |
Data Change Requests (DCRs) functionality in Veeva, used with or without Network, prevents users from editing any datastewarded fields. But, if you are not using Veeva DCRs you can use the Lock_vod__c field on the Address object to keep users from editing addresses that are managed internally. You cannot make the Address Line 1 field read only, because it is actually the Name field in the table, and it is required, but setting the Lock_vod__c field to TRUE for all Address records that need to be readonly prevents your end users from editing Address Line 1 online as well as offline.
