Question:
Why do the Veeva-specific DNS, DKIM, and MX records need to be added to support a Sending Domain in CRM?
Answer:
To be compliant with both industry-standard email authentication technologies and US CAN-SPAM and General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) law in the EU regarding domain spoofing, companies must allow Approved Email to send emails on behalf of the domain from which the emails are sent.
This compliance requires that Approved Email users properly configure and authenticate, at least, one domain and create DNS, DKIM, and MX entries.
