Question:
Can a user upload .PSB files if Photoshop (.PSD) files are a supported file type in Vault?
Answer:
Even though Photoshop files (.PSD) are a supported file type, .PSB files are not supported. These files cannot upload into Vault because they are too large and do not render in the system. Even though the system may allow the upload of the file due to its similarity to a .PSD, the document is unlikely to render fully due to the file size and the layering of the document.
Note: PSB files are a large document format similar to a PSD file but for larger image sizes. The largest image size supported by a PSD file is 30,000 by 30,000 pixels. PSD file support has to be enabled in Photoshop's Preferences pane first, then PSB files can be saved at an image size up to 300,000 by 300,000 pixels.
