What is the default view when users open the document in Vault?

Answer:

Vault users can switch between different layouts in the Document Information page using the layout selector toolbar.

• Document view shows only the document viewer panel and hides the fields panel.
• Mixed view shows both the document viewer panel and the fields panel.
• Fields view shows only the fields panel and hide the document viewer.
• Timeline view shows the big picture view of a document’s history, highlighting major events that led up to its current lifecycle status.

Vault remembers the user's last selection and applies it the next time the user open the Doc Info page.

Example:

If a user opens a document and quits the document with the Timeline view directly, the default view is the Timeline view next time for all the documents.
