Is it possible to prevent users from receiving an email notification when they are assigned a User Task directly in Vault?

Answer:

If a user is assigned a User Task directly using the User Task Object (rather than being assigned a Workflow Task), it is not currently possible to prevent the user from receiving a notification to let them know the User Task is assigned to them.
