Question:
Why are CLM Overlay Pages, including Calls using Javascript, appearing in a Veeva CRM Engage Meeting Session at the side of the Attendee on Veeva CRM for iPad?
This involves the following overlay options located in the top-right menu in the Media Tab:
- Send Email page using the Send Email Button once the Account is selected
- Send Email page using Javascript accessed using a custom button embedded the presentation slide
- New Medical Inquiry Page using the New Medical Inquiry button
- The Order Header page using the New Order Button
- The Survey button in case a Survey Overlay is enabled on the CLM Presentation record

Answer:
This behavior is currently working as designed. There is a solution with the new options introduced to Engage in V19R3 (iOS 13) to avoid these scenarios.
The Stop Share functionality for iPad hosts can be used so overlays are not shared. This does, however, give the HCP attendee the opportunity to share a screen. In order to counter this scenario, The iPad host always has the ability to take sharing privileges back from the Health Care Providers (HCP).
For further information about the Stop Share functionality, review the linked pages of the CRM Help Documentation below.
