Question:
Why does the CRM For iPad app need to be managed by a Mobile Device Management (MDM) solution in order to use OAuth 2.0 functionality?
Answer:
The OAuth 2.0 functionality requires configuration files that are separate from the Crm For iPad application. This file must be managed and properly installed alongside the app which must be handled by any MDM solution which is a member of the AppConfig Community. The configuration file differs depending on the MDM vendor chosen, but there are example files provided for AirWatch and Microsoft InTune in the OAuth 2.0 Configuration Guide.
Note: OAuth does not need an MDM and OAuth file if the Custom Domain option is being leveraged.
